Warnborough College Ireland is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine and Technology (NUCHMT), based in Ghana.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding educational access and will encompass all levels of courses offered by NCHMT — from foundational to advanced qualifications.
Prof Dr Raphael Nyarkotey Obu, NCHMT’s founder and president says that “the partnership will change the educational gap in naturopathy and herbal medicine in Ghana and Africa”.

Warnborough College brings decades of international education experience to the partnership, supporting quality assurance, academic recognition, and ongoing collaboration in the field of natural medicine. “We believe this initiative is more than just education,” said Dr Julian Ng, CEO. “It’s about restoring confidence in traditional knowledge, building sustainable healthcare alternatives, and empowering communities across Africa and beyond.”
This bold new pan-African educational initiative is set to transform healthcare access and traditional medicine education across the continent. Through a unique partnership and fully funded scholarships, the program aims to train up to one million practitioners in herbal medicine and naturopathy — a major step forward in reviving and formalising African healing traditions.

With the help of the Vanuatu Trade Commission in Ghana, the initiative had its virtual launch on April 3, drawing participants and interest from over a dozen African countries. The turnout signals growing momentum around traditional and alternative healthcare solutions, especially those rooted in indigenous African knowledge systems.
The program is not only groundbreaking in scope, but also in accessibility. Across Africa, aspiring practitioners of traditional and alternative medicine often face significant barriers to training including high costs, limited infrastructure, and the lack of formal recognition. The partnership between WCI and NHCMT was created to directly address these challenges.
