Warnborough College, Ireland, in collaboration with Prof. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu, proudly announces the publication of the landmark book “African Naturopathic Medicine: Principles, Practice, and Policy” on the official Warnborough College website.

This publication marks a pivotal moment in global health discourse, offering readers across the world an opportunity to explore African naturopathy from a truly African perspective. The book is infused with the Ubuntu philosophy, and grounded in the ontology, epistemology, and methodology of African healing traditions and naturopathic medicine. It redefines the narrative on African traditional healing systems and integrates indigenous knowledge with modern naturopathic principles.

Prof. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu, a Ghanaian naturopathic doctor, legal scholar, and renowned public health advocate, has dedicated his career to championing African traditional and naturopathic medicine. As the President of Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology in Ghana, he has led numerous efforts to professionalize naturopathy across Africa through research, policy development, education, and legal advocacy. His work spans The Gambia, Ghana, Togo, and others—building regulatory frameworks and academic programs that reflect Africa’s rich healing heritage.

Warnborough College, known for its global academic partnerships and support for alternative knowledge systems, is proud to support this pioneering work. Through this collaboration, the College affirms its commitment to promoting African scholarship and indigenous health systems on the world stage.
