Prof. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu, a Ghanaian naturopathic doctor, legal scholar, and renowned public health advocate, has dedicated his career to championing African traditional and naturopathic medicine. As the President of Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology in Ghana, he has led numerous efforts to professionalize naturopathy across Africa through research, policy development, education, and legal advocacy. His work spans The Gambia, Ghana, Togo, and others—building regulatory frameworks and academic programs that reflect Africa’s rich healing heritage.
